Garden Globe: Volunteer Opportunity

The Garden Globe has an amazing volunteering opportunity.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic person who will assist in raising additional funds for the sustainability of our growing project. This opportunity provides a prospective volunteer with a great opportunity to utilize and showcase a brand new piece of cycling kit. Our Smoothie Bike is stationary using kinetic energy (energy created through movement) to spin and produce a delicious, healthy smoothie in 2 minutes! The bike is used to generate energy and income so that the Garden Globe Project will maximise income generation at a multitude of events and venues. Set up and take down Smoothie Bike and its resources, Engage participants and/or passers-by; explaining about the project and its potential impact on the local area and environment, Energise people to have fun and take part, Have an awareness and practise good Health & Safety and Food Hygiene. A clean Driving Licence is preferred, but is not essential.

A friendly & enthusiastic manner

A willingness to learn

Punctual and reliable

An understanding of the importance of good health & safety and food hygiene

An interest and enthusiasm for the role of Fundraising Volunteer and for what Garden Globe aims to achieve

Other Information:

Travel expenses will be reimbursed or paid for to, from and during the volunteer shift

Frequency & Commitment: Minimum 3.5 hours per session – Maximum 7 hours (1 day), Minimum 1 session per month, maximum 1 session per week, Weekend availability generally required
